I have seen the latest James Bond movie last night and have reviewed it.
Surprisingly, I did not like the movie. I say this because I am a fan of the Bond series.

Wow, Anthony. Good review. I have to say I feel really sorry for you. I know how much you were looking forward to this one and it's disappointing when one of your favorite series lets you down like this.
I didn't see it and probably won't for awhile. I'm a Bond fan but not a hardcore one like yourself. My fiancee vetoed seeing it and I wasn't about to fight to see it. (I have to pick my battles carefully and it wasn't one I was about to expend relationship capital on. I'll save it for a movie that I really want to see that she doesn't.)
I didn't like the direction Casino Royale took with the series and Daniel Craig wasn't my first pick for the new Bond at all. Here's hoping they take it back in a classic direction while avoiding the degree of silliness of some of the later Brosnan films.
Thanks, David. I have to admit. I really feel proud about this review because I really looked at the movie closely like a true critic. Your advice in response to my past reviews certainly have helped. Of course, I may still get a bit lazy sometimes with reviews, so I guess that, with Quantum of Solace, I just had a lot to say. :-)
Although this movie was a disappointment, it doesn't mean I have lost faith in the series. At least, not yet. Up until this movie, my two least favorite Bond movies were The Man With the Golden Gun from 1974 and Goldeneye from 1995. Both times, the films that followed, The Spy Who Loved Me in 1977 and Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997, turned around and kicked butt. It's almost as if the series responds to the feedback of its fans. So it's not entirely possible for the next Bond film to make up for Quantum of Solace.
As for Daniel Craig, I won't really mind him if he can mix the classic Bond charm with the Bond ruthlessness that he emphasizes. But I agree with what you said before at one point. Clive Owen would have a better James Bond because he certainly had that right look for the role.
