David's "Role Models" review
Here. Not bad, though not great. B+. Pretty funny, though.
You know, it's funny that I managed to guess what the overall plot of Role Models would be even before reading your review. I guess that's a sign that the movie is formulaic, as you say. But if the characters, dialogue, etc. seem amusing enough, then maybe I'll check it out if I really have nothing else to watch.
Meanwhile, I do like Christopher Mintz-Plasse because he's quite funny in nerdy roles. I still remember the scenes from Superbad involving McLovin's fake driver's license. :-)
