David - Saw it tonight. My thoughts exactly. Agree about the abominable snowmen, too. The 13-yo liked it better than I did.

I haven't seen the second Mummy flick yet, but between this one and the first one, I think I like the first one better. Partly because of Rachel Weisz. Maria Bello just didn't do it for me.

It's been awhile since I saw the first two. (I remember hating the second one more than the first.)

Generally I do like Rachel Weisz more than Maria Bello. I thought Weisz was great in the Constant Gardener and I have special affection for her for her role in The Fountain, my favorite movie of 2006. Even if she was in this one, though, I doubt it would have made too much of a difference. I had a question for you about the Mummy series which I think I'll dedicate a post to.

Sounds like Tomb of the Dragon Emperor met everyone's expectations... Brendan Frasier tries too hard to act, so you can tell he's acting
