Good review, David. I had no idea what this movie is about until I read your review. It clears it up. The way you describe the conflict between the two main characters has gotten me interested. I might even suggest this to my film lovers group.
Speaking of Philip Seymour Hoffman, I also remember him in Charlie Wilson's War. That movie was just OK in my opinion, but Hoffman's presence was nice.

Hoffman's presence always improves things. He's just a fantastic actor.
