I was fortunate enough to drop forty dollars on the North American preview of BURN AFTER READING at the Toronto Int'l Film Fest. I got to see the back of Brad Pitt's head; I got to sit on an ungodly angle to watch the film; and the Coens were as curt as they were at this year's Oscars. I had a fricking fantastic time! Anyhow, click below to read my Burn After Reading review.

So if you had to rank the Coen brothers' movies, where would Burn After Reading be? Near the top, in the middle, or near the bottom? How does it compare to, let's say, The Big Lebowski?
Hey Anthony. This is like Coens working in their sleep. They barely even have to try it seems. It is not perfect but it is a good fun time. It lacks the grit of FARGO or RAISING ARIZONA and it isn't as satisfying as LEBOWSKI but it is a darn good time. I definitely say it's up there.
The problem with trying to rank Burn After Reading is that it's so fresh. With all of the Coen brothers movies they get better and better the more you watch them. I gave Burn After Reading a B+ but it'll probably climb after a few viewings.
